Brocade Card Set

As soon as I saw this box I new I had to make one. I saw this idea on Makeesha Bly's blog. It didn't take long to whip this up. Very easy but very effective, as you can see I used brocade backgrounds DSP,chocolate chip textured card and river rock double stitched ribbon on the box. Baroque motifs(yes again I just cant help myself), and all card to match the brocade paper for the cards. Might even put a wee treat inside when I give this away.

Baroque Motifs - a colour challange

NZSU site is having a colour challenge so thought I'd have ago, the colours are soft sky, pumpkin pie, basic gray, regal rose and whisper white. This was way out of my comfort zone i never use these colours together, ( even had to borrow Amys regal rose stamp pad, thanks Amy). After thinking for awhile and looking at the colours i was thinking maybe I'll just do the next challenge. Finally i bit the bullet got started and went for one of my favorite stamp sets baroque motifs. I'm still not sure of the colours but hey its good to try something different.lol. Click here to see what others have come up with.

Origami Box

I had a window of opportunity this afternoon so i thought what can i make that is quick. This is what i came up with. I was quite surprised how big the box ends up. I used berry bliss DSP for the lid and textured purely pomegranate card for the base with a bit of close to cocoa card. Chocolate chip satin ribbon finished it off. Now i just have to find some more time to make something to go inside. If you would like to make one yourself go here for a great video tutorial by Kristina Werner. Amy from Me And Mi Stamps made one the other day so go and check out her great blog here.

A LITTLE NOTE PAD

Well what do you know two posts in one day. Don't get used to this.lol. I have just finished this cover for my little green note pad(photos not to bad considering its night). I was looking through the templates that I had saved and I came across this cover template.( I had been into warehouse stationary a couple of weeks ago and brought some note pads and pens), perfect now I can make a cover. I've used the leftover card and paper from my file folder ,wintergreen designer paper, always artichoke, certainly celery and soft sky card stock. I love this set Live your dreams.(will hopefully be in the new mini that will be out in out next month and available to purchase in December) I have paper tolled the flowers and the butterfly and put a wee blue rhinestone in the centre of each flower.

Baroque Motifs

This is a card I made for a swap, it was a colour challenge Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant. Love these colours together. I started with Whisper White card scored some lines to give a tiled effect then double stamped the swirly stamp using Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant. Used the Photo corners punch and the mat pack in the corner, crimped some card to give a little texture, then added the ribbon to match. Stamped and paper tolled out the flowers. Its funny when you get a idea and off you go, then you end up with something that is completely different. What ever works I say.lol .
I am working on a project at the moment didn't quite get it finished last night. I will finish it tonight, and if I can get a good photo at night I will do another post tonight, otherwise I'll post tomorrow.

COLOUR CHALLENGE

I finished my challenge this is what I came up with. We had to use the soft subtles. I used our new stamp set that we got at training a couple of weeks ago called Live your Dream. I was happy with how it turned out.

Yesterday I had a meeting at Megans(my great upline) house we meet once a month. Megan was doing the make and take, she decided to do a 6 by 6 scrapbook page. She gave us the paper, and card and said do what you want use what you want to use. Yeh I thought let me look in your cupboard. This is what I came up with. All it needs now is a photo. Thanks Megan it was fun.

I used Outlaw designer paper and the card to match Chocolate Chip, Close to cocoa and Sage Shadow. Used photo corner punch some brads and some Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon to finish it off. I liked doing a scrapbook page for a change might do a few more and do mini scrap book.

BOX IN A BAG

This is a box in a bag I made a while ago that I finally finished. Its always a good feeling when you pick up something that is half done and put the finishing touches on it. I used Brocade Background designer paper, Old Olive and River Rock card, Always Artichoke ribbon, The flower in Priceless and a green rhinestone brad. The best thing I like about Stampin Up is how everything matches , but the only problem is it takes time to get everything.

I have 2 swaps due this week that i haven't even started, thats me always leave it to the last minute. I will post the photos of them hopefully on friday.

File Folder

I have been wanting to make one of these file folders for a while but couldn't find the time to make it. Last night was the night and I finally completed it. yeh.

I like the colours and how it turned out. I used board and covered it with wintergreen designer paper.(love those colours together)Used the card to match always artichoke, certainly celery and soft sky. Spine and file pages sahara sand. Tipped with always articoke.

Boho backgrounds worked for me, stamped in always articoke. Certainly celery ribbon holds the lid shut.

This is what it looks like on the inside.

A close up of the stamped and punched images. Have you noticed I like to layer.lol
I found the instructions on the scrapbook lounge. Have added the link, when you open it go to archives and its called expanding memories.
