Inkspirations sketch challenge # 4

Sorry not the best photo, (after taking heaps this was the best one.) today I noticed that Makeesha had a new challenge out so I made sure that I made some time to have ago. I haven't had any celebrations sets to have a play with till last week, so I thought I'd use one for this challenge. Its hard to see from the photo but I have used my so swirly jumbo wheel with my versamark pad. And I have paper tolled out the flowers out of the polka dot punches set. I have had some clear buttons for ages and hadn't used them so today was the day. I put some black card behind them and added some red fibre. The colours that I have uses are basic black, real red, and whisper white. And check out the other cards that are playing Makeesha's challenge here.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

COLOUR THROWDOWN # 27

The colours this week go really well together, but aren't colours that I would normally use together. This was just a very quick card It didn't take long to make. I just got this set like it a latte and thought I'd use it for this colour challenge. I wasn't sure If I could add this much white but I did anyway.lol. Check out the colour throwdown blog and have a go here.

MOJO MONDAY # 71

I have been meaning to do some stamping this week but haven't had time until today. I wanted to to the colour throwdown 26 but ran out of time so I thought I'd combine it with mojo monday. The colours go great together, but its a pity that pink doesn't photo graph very well. I just got on order on Friday and thought I'd christen a happy heart stamp set. This summer mini is great I think its the best mini yet. I made my own DSP with my versamark stamp pad. I love how you can use it on any colour and it leaves a slight water mark.

CREATIVE CORNER SKETCH

I had a wee bit of time this morning and thought I'd have a play. I saw there was a new sketch and thought that's what I need. I haven't made any Valentine's cards yet so here goes... Thought I'd use pretty in pink and close to cocoa with abit of whisper white. This is what I came up with.
I used priceless and the saying out of wild about you. And some pearls to finish it off. Check out the other entries here.

INSPIRATION CHALLENGE # 3

I almost didn't post this card but after having a nights sleep I thought I'd take the photos in a good light in the morning and see what they look like. I'm not that happy with this card, If I get time I will have another go at the challenge. I've had a lot on this week and I think I've lost my mojo. Anyway the colours I used are ruby red, blue bayou, and sage shadow and the stamp sets are eastern blooms (out of the summer mini) and short and sweet. I added some dazzling diamonds to the flower and some 1/2 pearls to the centre. Check out the other entries here. My son Jacob had a sleep over here last night so off to make them all breakfast if I can tear them away from the play station. lol.

MOJO MONDAY AND MAKEESHA CHALLENGERS

I had been meaning to do these challengers all week and I finally got some time yesterday so I decided to combine them. I used embrace life and Eastern blooms stamp sets. I really like these colours together. I don't often use very vanilla instead of white so it was good that I had some cream pears for the middle of the flowers.

KWERNER CHALLENGE #39

I had an early night last night its been a long week, but I was up early to do this card. Man the colours are bright this week so I made a very bright card.lol. The stamp set I used is scribble this. I decided to stamp straight on to the coloured card instead of on to white card to make use of the bright colours. I put a black button in the middle and some red fibre I found in my box of fibres. I'm not normally a bright person but I quite like how this turned out. Check out the other entries here.

EMBRACE LIFE BIRTHDAY BOX

The first month in the year is going fast. I went to put all the birthday dates on the calender and I couldn't find all the pages that I had ripped off last year so I decided to make a birthday box to put all the dates in, then as the pages get ripped off, I don't need to worry about keeping them. I can put the box on the window sill or wall unit and it will look great because its decorated nicely.
I can pull out a month in advance to see who's birthday is coming up, then I might be more organized(can't promise anything!lol). Now If I have time I want to get a few challenges done, will have to be after I finish work tonight. Sorry the photos aren't the best.

CUPCAKE CHALLENGE # 51

I had great intentions of doing a quick card today but I just couldn't pick what set I wanted to use. After trying a few I ended up using Priceless and Live your Dreams. I used my new glue stamp pad and dazzling diamonds on the swirly stamp. Man I have used my stamp-a-ma-jig heaps lately. Check out Taylor's Blog for the other entries here. Thanks for all the great comments that I have been getting lately, It makes having a blog worth while to think that others like your work. Hope you are all having a great weekend.

KWERNER CHALLENGE #38

When I first looked at the colours for this challenge I thought you have got to be kidding me!.I got out the card stock and looked at my stamps. I don't have a ruby red stamp pad so I had to use my marker(would been a LOT easier with the stamp pad.)lol. I used one of a kind stamp set for the main flower, I really like this set. For the background I used a stamp out of natural beauty. I embossed one flower with clear embossing powder and one with white embossing powder. I had to add a little ribbon and of course some felt flowers and then a few brads. Check out the other entries here.

MOJO MONDAY # 69

I wasn't going to do this challenge because I don't have anything to make a big circle. Then I thought I'll make a little card so I could use my scallop punch for the main picture. This card ended up a bit different than I had pictured it, but my hour was up and I had to go and get Keisha from daycare. The stamp set friendly flowers and the DSP are all in the summer mini. And the colours used are chocolate chip, old olive, pumpkin pie and whisper white. Check out the new Mojo Monday blog here. Thanks for looking.

Makeesha's sketch

The one thing I like about doing all these challenges is that my stack of cards is mounting up. normally its someones birthday or you just need a card I would have to find time to make one but now I can just go and have a look in my box of cards. I ran out of time last night to do Makesha's sketch so I did it this morning after I got up. I love purple so purple it is.lol. I got this set in my starter kit, natural beauty is such a great set. I paper tolled out the big flower at the bottom and added a little dazzling diamonds to the center. This card is for a friend of mine hope she likes it. Off now to take the kids out to burn off some energy. I have found another challenge that (fingers crossed) I might have time a bit later in the day to do. Makeesha has a great blog check it out here.

CUPCAKE CHALLENGE #50

Time for another cupcake challenge. Well I found this really hard for some reason ,couldn't quite find the right colours. After a lot of changing my mind this is what I came up with. I have paper tolled out the flowers and added a little gem in the middle. I decided to flip the sketch and make it look like flowers. I'm not sure I'm 100% sold on this card, but It might grow on me.lol. Check out the other entries here.

just one more

Yes I know that I'm addicted. I went up to my stamp room to tidy up, after doing the kwerner challenges on Friday it was in a big mess. But I had all the scraps out and thought maybe I'll do one more.lol. I used eastern blooms and sending happy thoughts. After I had finished the card I thought what colour is missing? bashful blue so I added a little butterfly from live your dreams to finish it off. The brads aren't stamping up (I wish they had chocolate chip brads). Any way thanks for all your great comments on my other cards, It always gives me a buzz to read them all. Check out the other entries here.

CARD #2 KWERNER CHALLENGE # 37

I must say love, love, love the colours this week. I have seen alot of 3"by 3" cards done with this idea and my great Friend Amy did a great card for the cupcake sketch here. I thought the colours would be great for this card so I had a go. As you can see alot of paper tolling but well worth it. Again I have used bashful blue instead of baja breeze. Click on the photo if you want to have a closer look. Now if the kids give me a chance I will go and have a look at some of the other entries. Thanks for looking and for all the great comments you have been leaving me.
