Howdy all!!! It feels like ages since I posted or even stamped! My year ended in craziness but my new year has started out fantastic!!! Hope you all had a fantastic start to your year too!!! Jenn created the sketch for us this week and its a goody! I made the little box a couple of days ago and was going to use it for the next round of Stampin Fun And Friends but decided not to use it in my project this round, so I whipped up this card to match it for this weeks Try Stampin!

Sheese not the best photo sorry! I will try and get a better one tomorrow when there is some sunlight! Well this is the latest I have ever left myself to do the sketch! I only started it at 8pm tonight! OMG never again! Mind you it was super easy to whip up! I teamed the Try Stampin sketch with The Papers Players! Ok I have added new photos! That's looks way better! Wow doesn't Tuesday just rock around so fast! Ca has another fantastic sketch for us again this week! Hope you will play along! I just had to play with my new goodies! LOVE this stamp set and DSP! I got this set in my last order and haven't had the chance to ink it up! I think you might see a little bit of this set now it has seen the ink! LOL!

Try Stampin On Tuesday Sketch # 39

I hope you guys are ready for another fantastic sketch from CA! Hope you can join us this week! Click here it will take you to Try Stampin blog to check out the DT creations! I have made a start on my Christmas cards now! 1 down heaps to go! LOL! I'm loving this DSP Letters to Santa, its so much better than the picture in the catty! Here are some close ups of my card, hope you like it!

Some info for my card:-) For the middle square I punched out 2 decorative labels cut some off each and joined then together covering with bakers twine to hide the join! To adhere my micro beads to the tree I put a small dot of multipurpose liquid glue to each dot on the stamped image then tipped silver micro beads over them. Wait till they dry before you do to much with the tree or some many fall off;)

Supplies: Card: Riding hood red, early espresso and whisper white. DSP: Letters to Santa. Stamps: Pennant parade. Other stuff: Petite pennants builder punch, Decorative label punch, Bakers twine and jewelry tag punch.

Money gift folder and card set

I know I have been MIA for a couple of weeks! It has been crazy busy here. I finally have time to catch my breath! Stampin fun and friends is well under way and its been a fantastic round! Thought I would share my 1st project I created for this round Autumn Artistry with you. I don't know about you but the kids these days just want money for their birthdays so I decided to make a money folder and card set just to make the gift more than just money in a card! OMG I looked at this weeks sketch and thought this is going to be so easy! But boy was I wrong! LOL! I looked at my supplies and finally decided on the blueberry crisp DSP .But then what order to put the DSP and what stamps! So after a LOT of playing around I ended up with this! Just imagine it has stitching between the holes! It was ment to but my white gel pen just wouldnt work! I think its time for a new one!!! he he he! But I don't mind it without! I was asked to commit only to UStamp but I haven't been that happy designing for the last few rounds of UStamp it just wasn't fun or enjoyable anymore! So its kind of nice to be free of all the stress! So I will be designing for Stamping fun and friends from now on! Howdy all!!! I cant believe I got the chance to stamp this morning!!! Just don't tell DH I was meant to be doing house work!!! He he he! I haven't had much time to create lately and to be honest I haven't felt much like it! But today the Mojo is back! Well kind of! LOL! I have been wanting to play along with the paper players for a while now but have never quite got there, but I checked their blog this morning and LOVED the theme 'Christmas in July' so I just had to play along! It is winter here in July so I did a winter mid year Christmas!!! Zip over and check out The Paper players their DT has done some great samples to get you in the mood to stamp! Howdy all! Just thought I would show you all the projects I made for the last round of UStamp! It was a great round called classes clubs and camps! I designed my project around a stamp club and show cased the top note die and showed how versatile it is! This was a great round for demo's that do a lot of classes clubs or camps! It is a wet day today in the Naki and I have a sick DH so we will be keeping warm and dry today that is for sure!

I don't normally make such busy looking cards and didn't really like it at first but it has grown on me! And I just had to use all my new stuff! LOL! Ok so I have found alittle time to quickly update! I have been wanting to show you this cute little Easter basket that I made for the big shot brilliance UStamp round! This is a fun little Easter project! Mind you it doesn't look quite the same as the photo anymore I kinda ate all the chocolate! He he he! It was YUMO!!!!!!LOL! Try Stampin On Tuesday sketch #9

OMG!!! This was one hard sketch for me! I think it was more the DSP that I used, I started this card after lunch yesterday and it took me all of 10mins to cut the card and DSP but do you think I could find a stamp set I liked to go with this DSP? The answer was NOT!!!! LOL! I tried 5 sets and even the owl punch! So at 9pm last night I decided on this one! I didn't spend the whole time on the card I would do a little then walk away! It was all I could do! Don't you just hate that! I almost gave up and didn't finish it but I hate to let thing beat me! LOL! So now its done and dusted and I think I better start next weeks one sooner rather that later! He he he! Just in case! The samples this week from the other designers over at Try Stampin look fabulous so go and check them out and leave them some comment LOVE!!!!

I was trying to use just 2 colours for this card but it didn't really look how I thought it would, so I added some marina mist to the mix! Its funny how things go alot differently in your head! Punch bunch boxed card set

I thought I would share with you the card set I made for my 2nd project for the Oh My Word UStamp. It was a fun round using the sale-a-bration sets! I used the punch bunch set because it such a variety of stamps! You have until the end of the month to earn some free sets! On Friday the latest round started and is getting under way! Its called the Big Shot Brilliance UStamp and so far the projects are fantastic! I love the big shot!!! I just wish I had more time to recreate all the projects! But I will save them all to recreate when I get the time! I so wish I had access to all the different dies they have in the US! Maybe soon we will get some more, fingers crossed! I can feel a trip coming on I better start saving! LOL!!!

Wow How fast has this week gone?! It feels like yesterday I was doing Sketch #3! This week was the hardest for me! I knew the colours and accessories I wanted to use but I had a heap of trouble with the stamps!!! So after almost 2 hours I ended up with this! I quite like how this turned out! Instead of adding stars or another shape I went with a bird and a heart button!!!
If you want to know how I put the scallop border on the oval check out this tutorial that Kristy brown put together! Its easy when you know how!!!LOL!

Gable box gift set

Hi all!!! I love the look gable boxes and believe it or not I had never made one! So for the latest round of UStamp "Oh My Word" I made a gable box, matching card and envelope. My color combo for this round is all blues and I teamed it with very vanilla! I loved how it turned out, I think it's the lace that I love the most! I will have to stock up before the latest mini finishes!LOL! I also made some Swedish chocolate balls to go in the box to finish off the gift, which I included in the tutorial for this round! The only bad thing about this idea was that I only needed a fraction of the sweets for the photo and I had to eat or the rest! But I didn't mind too much because they were yummoooo!!!! He he he! I have another fun project to share in the next few days once it has been on the live site!

I was meant to update last night but I am still quite stunned over the huge earthquake in Christchurch! My father and some good friends live there and Thank goodness they are all OK! But it is still stressfull and oh so sad! I can't quite believe how bad Christchurch was hit! The poor poor families that can't get in touch with their loved ones! My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone that it has effected! It is just so devastating!!!

So lucky for me I get these sketches in advance because my lovely children brought home the tummy bug from school for the weekend! I am so lucky I managed to skip this round! A good friend of mine had a beautiful little girl last week and today I was going to visit! So once the kids were at school I whipped up this card for her! I found this What if? Sketch challenge yesterday and I love sketches so I thought I would give it a go! As you can see I changed it slightly! I was planing on following it, but I'm not sure what happened but it ended up like this! LOL!!! So hopefully they don't mind!!!

I have been rushing all day! After school was dancng and now its time to take the kids to swimming so I better go!

I was sent the punched posies set from my good friend Kristen and haven't had time to ink it up yet so that was the lucky set today! I just love it when your cards just seen to come together with out to much trouble! Which I must say hardly ever happens to me! LOL! Calendar Page

How fast is the year going already! I have a group of friends and we get together every month to stamp or in some cases just chat and eat nibbles! LOL! Every year we do a group calendar and we do 2 months each and make 6 of each month, once they are all done we swap and end up with a full completed calendar! This year I got to create January and July! So this is my January. I will take some pictures of the rest and show you them all over the next few weeks!

Gift card folder

I had a bad start to the week this week!!! I was going to update alot more but on Monday night I broke my little toe! Let me tell you for something so small it sure can be very painful!!! Its feeling better every day so lets hope I can catch up this week! I am way behind in everything!!!

Any who this is my 2nd UStamp project I designed for the latest round of UStamp which has just finished! I call it a gift card folder! A card fits in the big pocket and a gift card can fit in the little one then it all folds up ready to give as a gift! The stamp set I have used is called bliss and its a sale-a-bration set that you can earn for free from stamping up from the 25th January to the 31 March. Treat box card

Can you believe it this is my 2nd post this week! Start as you mean to go on I say!!! LOL! I had a stamping night with a friend last night and even though I had 3 projects I wanted to complete, I only managed to complete this one! I think there was a lot of chatting going on! He he he! But 1 is better that none!

Anywho this is a treat box card that Marisol Gutierrez Designed for the end of year blow out UStamp that is well under way! I loved it as soon as I laid eyes on it!!! I have changed the colours and used up a little of my favorite retired DSP and ribbon! I found it so hard to get a good photo, the window sheet in the box shows all sorts of glare and background images!

Thought I'd show you the project I designed for UStamp get a jump on your jingle! We all need Christmas tags so I made some cute tags and a matching box! As soon as I saw sparkly & bright in the new catty it was a must have!

I haven't had a chance to stamp this week or even think about it! My poor daughter came home from school with the tummy bug so from Monday to Friday was a blur for me! Now the house is back to normal I may get some stamping done!

I was up with the birds this morning! I got up at 5.45am! Those of you that know me well will know I don't do early mornings! LOL! But I must say I got a heap done! I always turn my computer on 1st, check my emails and then I thought I'd check if the latest challenge was up for just add ink and it was! I needed to make a baby card for a friend of mine that just had her 4th baby couple of days ago! So I had this card made and had hung out my washing all by 7.30am! That's the normal time I rise from bed! LOL! I can't wait to go and have a snuggle with the not so little Connor his birth weight was 11lb 8oz! His poor mother! Just Add Christmas & Mojo Monday 165

Last night I cut out card for 27 children in Nico class to make a project and then spent the morning at school with them today. It's a long process with just the teacher and I helping the 27 children!!! But fun!!! When I got home at lunch time the courier arrived with my order and So that made me have to stamp! The only problem was how much of my new things could I get on one card! He he he! So this card ended up 2 new punches, a stamp and DSP from my order! LOL! I have so many challenges I wanted to get done this week I decided to do a double whammy! So this is my card for the Just add Christmas challenge over at just add ink and my card for Mojo Monday! For the Mojo challenge I flipped the sketch just to be different:-)

WOOOO HOOOO! Can't believe I had some time to myself to stamp today!!! I got to have a play with the sweet Sunday sketch! Not sure if I have used a bit to much pattern, but I LOVE this DSP!!!! Who wouldn't! LOL! For the flower I cut out 2 of each flower from the flower fusion sizzlits die and put a brad though the middle and scrunched them up a little! Very quick to make! Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 88

With all the kids back at school it finally gave me some time to stamp! I love having them home but are ready for some time to myself by the time they go back! Which I guess sounds like every mum! LOL! Thought I would start with the Sweet Sunday sketch I love the sketches Karen comes up with! For the button I tied a bow with the linen thread and then added a brad to the middle, pushing it through the button holes and bending the pins behind to keep it in place! It was just a random brad I had in my stash that matched! Love it when that happens!!! LOL!

I have a few challenges on my list to do this week so I hope to be back tomorrow with something else to show you! Sorry about the photos I think I need new batteries for the camera!

Surprise pop up season of joy

Thought I'd share with you the cards I made for this round of UStamp! This round is all about movement cards and each project is one movement card and also just a card made with the same set and colours and both with matching envelopes! Fun fun fun! All sets have a different colour combo, every stampin up colour is used through the event! The colours I choose are not quite navy, poppy parade, sahara sand and whisper white. Not your normal Christmas colours but they work very well together! I had never made a surprise pop up card before so that's why I picked it! Hope you like it! I love season of joy you can do so much with it!

I am just designing one project for this round of UStamp and one for the next round so I'm up to date for now! So I will have the time to catch up on the challenges I love and time to stamp for myself!!! Can't wait! It has been a busy year for me so far so something had to give! I will be back in the next few days with some blog candy to give away!

A new addition and a RAK! Lucky me:-)

I have wanted a puppy for quite sometime now but thought it was best to wait till the kids were a little bigger so it would be easier! So now all the children are all at school it was time! This is our new little puppy Lu Lu! How cut is she! Just need to stop her crying at night and she will be perfect! Mind you it's only day 3! Wish me luck! LOL!

A week or so ago I went to my letter box this beautiful card and gift was in there! This RAK is from Lynn Powell from Australia! I love Karen's sketches! I haven't had the chance to do one for a while so it was the 1st thing on my list for today! I already had the little butterfly's cut from my last card so I had to use them up! I have again used some of the scraps I have lying around! I am counting down till my 1st order arrives from the new catty so I can have a play! Can't wait till I have some new stamps and accessories!!! It will be like Christmas! Thank you for the emails asking if I was alright after the earthquake! I am not close to it but Christchurch is where my dad lives! His house is a little damaged but he is fine (maybe just a bit shaken!) Thank goodness!!!!!! As of last night he had power and water on but no sewerage and probably won't have that for a while!

I was checking out the challenges today and Just Add Ink has a fantastic one! Just add material! It got me thinking I had some fabric I was going to make some picture frames with and just hadn't got around to it! So out came the fabric, and the glue gun! I cut the flowers out of the calico fabric in the bigshot using the sizzlits die floral fusion page 152 in the new catty that starts in just 3 days! Then added a button, some linen thread and some tags. What better to put in the frame than my darling children! Let me know what you think!

Season of joy

I was very lucky this week! I spent most of Tuesday making these cards for the latest round of UStamp! And most of Friday making a different set of cards that I will share when they have been on UStamp! I love this set season of joy it is so versatile!!! I picked this set because I am always behind on Christmas cards so this set has put me ahead for once in my life! LOL! I have the stamping bug now so I will be doing a bit of stamping over the next week so make sure you come back and take a look soon! If you love making cards but need some ideas this round of UStamp is the one for you! Its all about cards! 160 of them I think!

Just thought I'd let you know I haven't fallen off the face of the earth! I have had a sick house and a family friend that passed away so there was NO time to ink up any stamps!

I have an engagement party to go to tonight so when I finished work I went straight to my stamp room and whipped up this card! Not sure its my best work but with the little time I had it works!LOL! And best of all I got to use my new sizzlits alphabet dies! And I must say I am sad to see 'a happy heart' stamp set retire! I love this set! But I have had a peek at the new catty and that helped my feel better about it!!!!! There is nothing like new stuff to cheer you up! LOL!

Pun fun gift set

Raspberry tart note pad sets

Last night I meet up with a group of friends that I have been meeting up with for a few years now! We get together every month and stamp and do swaps and eat nibbles and chat! The theme this month was cafe night! So when I arrived the table was stunning fulled with nibbles, candles, place cards, flowers, wine glasses and all in pink, red and white! I will post a photo when I get one! You will love it! All I can say is WOW!

For our swaps it had to be a home made gift. As you can see I did note pads and matching pens! I will post the rest of the gifts everyone made tomorrow! Mind you alot of it is eatable so I better take the photos today! LOL!

Just Add Ink #26 Just add....Embossing

Oh I just love a different challenge! And over at Just Add Ink they have a cool one! Just add embossing! You can do dry or heat! I decided heat! Found my heat gun and dusted it off! LOL! Then came the hard part what colours and stamps to use! I love the effect of white embossing onto black card! I even embossed a tiny tag too! I forgot how fun embossing is!

This is the longest I have ever gone without posting! Life has been so crazy lately! Hopefully it will calm down in the next couple of weeks! I so miss having time to stamp and update my blog!

I thought I would share with you my first project I designed for The early summer UStamp that is on at the moment! I love making purses and this round I designed yet another purse to hold a card and a chocolate bar! What else would you put in a purse to give as a gift! LOL!!! Hope you like it! I was sooooo lucky to receive a parcel this week from my good friend Kirsten who lives in the states! So you might notice a couple of things that aren't available in New Zealand yet! Lucky me!!! This card was inspired by Kristen! For those of you that live or have been to the states will know about Reese's peanut butter cups! I was introduced to them last year when Debbie a friend of mine sent some over to me! I received some in my gift from Kristen and OMG they taste even better than I remembered! LOL! I would show you a picture of them but I don't want Kristen to see just how many I have eaten!!! He he he!

I checked out Just Add Ink's latest challenge and it was a colour challenge! I almost didn't it because I don't have any melon mambo card stock but I did have the stamp pad and some ribbon! Don't ask me how that happened! LOL! So I decided to make a box card! Hope you like it! These are not normally my colours but they do work well! I might have another play with them once I can get my hands on some matching card stock!
