DECORATIONS

Yeh. It's almost December, and time to decorate the tree. Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year. It's been a busy year this year and the time has gone almost to fast. So I thought it was about time to make some new decorations. I just finished making these tonight, love this DSP wintergreen. I will make a few more of these to put in my salon to go with the silver tinsel I have already have. I just need to get some dashing DSP to make some for my tree. Well time for bed its getting late.(so much for my early night I set out to have.)lol.

KWERNER CHALLENGE #32

Yeh, there is a first time for everything, I finally got time to do one of the kwerner challengers. I have been wanting to take part for awhile but always ran out of time. I love the colours that that Kristina has picked this week they go great together. We don't have riding hood red so I've used real red. I used season of joy stamp set out of the spring mini. Its hard to see from the photo but I added dazzling diamonds to the star on the Christmas tree, the little flower on the tree, and the snowflakes in the background. I only added a little bit of very vanilla, a bit of ribbon and some brads finish it off nicely. If you want a closer look click on the photo it will make it bigger. If you want to check out the other entries for this challenge here is the link to Kristina's bolg.

Lovely as a tree

I went to Megans(my upline) for our monthly meeting last Thursday. We usually do a make and take. Judy was doing this months. We started off by stamping the bird out of natural beauty in black then we embossed it with versa mark and clear embossing powder. We could then stamp around it. I picked as lovely as a tree thinking it could be a Christmas card. Mine always turns out different to every body else's. I have a habit of changing mine around. Just can't help myself.lol. To finish it off I used my 2-way glue pen and added some dazzling diamonds to the trees and a little on the ground.

CHOCOLATE BAR HOLDER

Just a quick post tonight, its been a long week for me. I just finished making these cute little bags for two special girls. I've put a cadbury favorite in each one. They don't really fit very well, they are a bit small. I will get something else at the supermarket tomorrow. If you would like to have a go at making these here is a great video tutorial.

file box cards

I went up to my craft room today and I thought yeh what new set out of the mini shall I use. I picked Eastern Blooms. As I started having a play around I remembered that I hadn't made any cards to go in my little file box, So I ended up doing three so they fit in nicely. The cards are only 3"by 3 3/4". It's such a cute little set, I just have to make some envelopes. Another gift ready for Christmas. The DSP is out of fall flowers set and the card I used is old olive, really rust and whisper white. Eastern blooms flower stamped in white craft ink and the saying at the bottom out of short and sweet stamped in really rust ink. I used dimensionals to paper toll out the flowers. And to finish it off old olive ribbon.

SIMPLY SENT

It feels ages since i posted. I'm down in Christchurch looking after my dad after his surgery and I thought I'd take a simply sent kit with me, I picked sending happy thoughts and brought some old olive and pumpkin pie ribbon, extra card and some old olive brads. I got to have a wee play while dad was resting I started by making a card the same as in the catalogue but with a few extra layers.I paper tolled the top of the flower and added a knot to the ribbon. Sorry the photo isn't the best. Then off down the road to a friends to use their internet.(thanks Simon). I have a few other different cards to post using this kit but have made them all different. So check back soon.

All the demonstrators get to do a pre order on the all the new things in the new mini. And I wasted no time in putting in my order.lol. I would have had my cards finished if I didn't have all my new stamps to polyurethane. I can't wait to use them!!!!!!.

One of a kind

Not the best picture sorry, bad lighting at night. Anyway this is a card I made today for a friend of mine. As you can see I used one of a kind(out of the spring mini). And I used very vanilla and creamy caramel card stock, some outlaw DSP and a little bit of theater ribbon out of the ribbon originals also a few brads. Just to be different instead of an envelope I made a little box. Hope she likes it.
