If you want to know how I put the scallop border on the oval check out this tutorial that Kristy brown put together! Its easy when you know how!!!LOL!
Make sure you zip over to Try Stampin On Tuesday and have a play and check out the DT samples and the entries! Maybe even leave them some comment love!!!

Stamps: Aviary and warm words
DSP: Blueberry crisp
Ink: Basic black and pacific point
Accessories: Victoria lace, bitty button, heart to heart punch, dimensionals, linen thread, cutter kit for distressing oval

Recess window

Hellllooooo. How long has it been? Far to long!!!! I have had a long week. But now I am up to date I can get back to blogging!
We had regionals here in New Plymouth yesterday and It was great!
I got an email from Hollie, from Australia a couple of weeks ago asking if I would do a WOW presentation at training. Its not my thing but I decided to have a go! And it was exciting to be asked. I decided I would show everyone how to do a recess window card, because I have been wanting to make one and haven't got around to it. Well nerves were thick and heavy, and I was wondering "what was I thinking" lol, but luckily I was first up and got it over with first thing so I could relax and enjoy the rest of the training day. These are the samples I made to show everyone.

If you want to have a go and make one yourself here is the link for the tutorial from splitcoast stampers.

Swaps for my swap sister

These are the 2 projects I made for my UStamp swap sister Debbie Keane who lives in Virginia Beach, USA. I was in such a hurry to post them off that I forgot to take photos of them, these are the ones that Debbie took for me. First I decided to make a free standing calender something useful to use that you can put anywhere. Its hard to see from the photo that the bag is a double pocket bag . I made a matching card for one side and filled the other side with cadbury favorite's chocolates. I got a few requests for the instructions of the bag so here is a easy to follow tutorial.
If you haven't already, leave a comment in on my blog candy post to be in to win a free UStamp pass for the next session in September. I will be drawing a winner on Friday morning!!

A CAMI TRI FOLD CARD

I noticed that Trudi from NZSU Blog has a great challenge for February, a cami tri fold card. So I had a play today and this is what I came up with. I used old olive, elegant eggplant and whisper white. I love these colours together and hadn't used them in a while. I used the flower out of a touch of nature and paper tolled out the flower and added a 1/2 pearl to the middle. I am almost out of white 1/2 pearls so I better get some more, I have been going through them lately. If you want to have a go here is a great tutorial that Trudi found. Happy stamping.

CHOCOLATE BAR HOLDER

Just a quick post tonight, its been a long week for me. I just finished making these cute little bags for two special girls. I've put a cadbury favorite in each one. They don't really fit very well, they are a bit small. I will get something else at the supermarket tomorrow. If you would like to have a go at making these here is a great video tutorial.

Origami Box

I had a window of opportunity this afternoon so i thought what can i make that is quick. This is what i came up with. I was quite surprised how big the box ends up. I used berry bliss DSP for the lid and textured purely pomegranate card for the base with a bit of close to cocoa card. Chocolate chip satin ribbon finished it off. Now i just have to find some more time to make something to go inside. If you would like to make one yourself go here for a great video tutorial by Kristina Werner. Amy from Me And Mi Stamps made one the other day so go and check out her great blog here.
