2 Challenges in one!

It's been a busy week here but I did manage to do a couple of challenges in one card! I had a list of challenges to do this week but no time to get them done:-( I have been meaning to do a curtain call colour challenge for a while so that was a must and I haven't done one of Keesh's challenges in ages and this weeks one is a sketch so I put the 2 together! It came together quickly because I had the layout and the colours! I should do that more often, it saves thinking what to do!!lol! If you have the time check all the entries or have a go yourself!
Recipe:
Stamps: Flower fancy
Card: real red, bashful blue and whisper white
Ink: real red and certainly celery
Accessories: Double stiched blashful blue ribbon, 1/4" blashful blue grossgrain, and real red brads and a 1/2 pearl
Thanks for stopping by!

Inkspiration inspiration Challenge # 15

How exciting!! I have been asked by Makeesha to be the guest designer for the rest of November, how cool is that!! Thanks soooo much Keesh for asking me!!!! I love doing Keesh's challenges but sometimes time isn't on my side! So one good thing about being a guest designer is I get the challenges early so I can make sure I get them done;-) as soon as I saw this inspiration picture I knew which set to use!! I love it when that happens;-) I have used my versamark pad and clear embossing powder for the decorations in the background on my black card, and versmark and sliver embossing on my hanging decorations. I haven't had my heat gun out in a long time, I had forgotten how much I enjoy embossing!
Recipe:
Stamps: Tree trimmings
Ink: Versamark
Embossing powder: Clear and sliver
punches: Scallop edge
Ribbon: 1/4" basic black grosgrain and silver thread
Check out Keesh's sample and the design teams creations! Renee, Cindy, Kirsty, Chantelle , and Sarah-Jane.
If you have the time have a go yourself;-)

Makeesha's colour challenge # 15

Its time for another challenge from Makeesha and the colours this week are fantastic and I had the perfect stamp set to use!! "Wild about you" is a old fav of mine and has been well used! I have paper tolled out the lion and the wee bird and always wonder to myself what was I thinking cutting out all the little bits but just can't help myself! lol. I used the word window punch to make a gap for the words, I was glad it would punch through 2 layers of card and 1 layer of DSP all at once!! The DSP is close to cocoa prints from last years catty. Check out the design teams and Makeesha's samples here!
I better go get ready for work. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Makeesha's sketch challenge # 14

It has been sooo long since I have done one of Makeesha's challenges, and as soon as I spied this sketch I thought I have to make a card! I love the layout and anyone that knows me or follows my blog will know I love butterfly's!! he he. I love the parisian breeze specialty DSP. Kraft, baja breeze and chocolate chip go fantastic together!! I will need to stock up on this DSP before the mini finishes at the end of Nov! I have used great friend stamp set, kraft taffeta ribbon and chocolate chip corduroy buttons to finish off my card. I have used my versa mark pad to stamp the branch on the kraft cardstock since we don't have a kraft stamp pad. Check out the other entries and the samples from Makeesha and her design team here!! Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. I have been working on some calender pages that I have to hand in on Monday night so check back soon to have a look at them!!

Makeesha's Sketch # 12

I am abit behind on the challenges this week. But I had some time this morning and decided to do Makeesha's sketch challenge. Always is a set that I earned for free during the sale-a-bration earlier this year and I haven't used it much, I thought It would go great in the oval shape. I used the sweet always DSP and the matching colours Chocolate chip, regal rose and pink pirouette. I added a few 1/2 pearls and some felt flowers to finish it off. I always forget about the felt flowers I must put them somewhere I can see them so I use them abit more. Check out the other entries here. Fingers crossed I might have time to do Mojo Monday later today. Thanks for stopping by:)

Makeesha's colour challenge # 11

Well its official I have lost my mojo.weep weep. To post or not to post?, that was the question. But they are what they are. Anyway not sure what happened. The first photo is the first of the worst cards ever, then I pulled it apart a little (its amazing if you are careful how they can come apart.lol.) Then it turned into the second card and I don't think its much better than the first. But that's what happens when you loose your mojo. Check out all the better entries here. Hope you are all having a great weekend:)

Makeesha's sketch # 11

It felt great to escape to my craft room tonight! Its been a very busy weekend. Today was Keisha's 4th birthday and I was up early making the cake and getting things ready for when all her kindy friends came over for the party. People started arriving at 12.30pm and the last one left at 7.30pm. So escaping to my craft room was the end of a great but long day. At first I was going to tidy up but I soon forgot about that and started on Makeesha's sketch. I decided to try and use my off cuts for this card because they are piling up. I have used always artichoke, so saffron, and very vanilla. The DSP is out of le jardin(retired) and garden whimsy is the stamp set. Check out the other entries here.
Thanks for stopping by:)

Inspiration Challenge # 9

I must say when I saw the picture for the inspiration I thought wow this is going to be a hard one and it was. I had a look through my stash of random papers and thought I'd use this one because it had some flecks through it. The first thing that caught my eye in the photo was the tea pot, so I used a black button so it would stand out. I decided to use rose red, whisper white with a bit of black to go with my pattern paper. The stamp set is 'One of a kind'. Check out all the other entries here. Thanks for stopping by!

Makeesha's sketch challenge # 9

I must admit I had a wee head start with this challenge. I was at Amy's place on Wednesday night and she was working on her sketch challenge card so I thought I may as well do mine too. Its great having a friend with benefits, and we don't get together very that often to stamp so I may as well take advantage.lol. It took ages to whip this card up, its always takes a long time when you are talking and eating chocolate.lol.
Stamps: Eastern blooms, short & sweet.
DSP: Urban Oasis
Card: Whisper white, kraft and basic black.
Ink: Basic black.
Check out the other entries here.

Makeesha's Inspiration Challenge # 8

Well I have finally have got round to doing Makeeshs challenges. I'm not sure if I'm that happy with this card. It was suppose to be a masculine card and I always seen to struggle with men's cards. I guess I just like more pretty cards.lol. But I must say the the colours that are in the inspiration picture are fantastic. You will have to excuse the mess in the background I never seem to get time to clean up. I had a lot of trouble with the photos today for some reason and these are the best of the worst.lol.
STAMPS- trendy trees and fifth avenue floral.
INKS- Sahara sand and kiwi kiss.
Check out the other entries here.

Inkspirations sketch challenge # 7

Where has the week gone? Well I finally found abit of time this afternoon to start and finish a card. I decided to do Makeesha's sketch. This is what I came up with. This set flight of the butterfly just arrived hot off the courier on Friday and I couldn't wait to ink it up. So when I saw that it would work well with this sketch no one could hold me back.lol. I stamped onto accetate for the wings with stazon. (those of you that know me will be quite shocked that I used stazon on my stamp.hehe) I used riding hood red and black ink. The DSP is urban oasis. Check out the other great cards here. Well off to make a start on my stamp club projects. Thanks for stopping by!
