COLOUR THROWDOWN # 31

I haven't had alot of time over the last couple of weeks to do alot of the challengers, and since it stated off raining this morning it was the perfect time to catch up. So up to my stamp room I went. I have got through 2 challengers this morning and it was great to just take my time without having to rush. We don't have kiwi kiss here yet so I have used old olive instead. I have used my so swirly jumbo wheel with my versamark, and Eastern blooms(its becoming one of my favorites), and the saying is from sweet thing. check out the other entries here and have a go your self. Well I suppose I better do some house work now I've had my fun. Thanks for visiting my blog.

KWERNER CHALLENGE # 43

I look forward to these challenges but I had a bit of trouble getting this one together. I used a in the spotlight and garden whimsy. I have only added a little brocade blue and ruby red(but they are there.lol.) . I found a brown button that matches chocolate chip and was the perfect size to go on top of the felt flowers. Check out all the other wonderful entries here.

UNFROGETTABLE

Once a month A group of friends and I meet and do some stamping, every 2nd month we do a swap. This months swap was fantasy. I always leave my swap till the last minute and this time I didn't quite get them all done. So tonight I finished them off, and having more time I added a few extras to mine, it didn't feel quite finished. Unfrogettable is such a cute stamp set, I have paper tolled out the frog and added a crown with pearls and glitter, and some fabric paint to the toadstool, and a bit of crystal effects to the eyes. Off to bed now, where did my early night go.

KWERNER COLOUR INSPIRATION # 42

A very quick post this morning, and a very quick card. I had this card started a couple of weeks ago, I had it laid out ready to finish but hadn't got round to it. All I had to do was replace the chocolate chip card with old olive and add the bird and some old olive ribbon. Check out the other entries here or even enter yourself .

Happy valentines day everyone. I hadn't got round to making Matt(MDH) a valentines day card, so when I finished work I snuck into my craft room to whip something up. MOJO MONDAY # 73

I always find it hard to relax after working a late night, so I thought I'd unwind and do the mojo Monday sketch. Man the time went fast. This set is one of the level 2 hostess sets spring solitude. I haven't used this set much so I thought I'd get some use out of it before the new catalogue comes out. The colours are very vanilla, river rock, chocolate chip and always artichoke. The DSP is out of the secret garden simply scrapin kit, and the ribbon is chocolate chip 5/8" grosgrain and some out of the theater pack. I had a look through my button stash and finished off with a rub-on.( I always forget to use my rub-ons) Check out the other cards here and have a go yourself.

SKETCH SATURDAY AND COLOUR THROWDOWN # 28

I love it when you can do 2 challenges in one, you have to think even less than normal.lol. I have been meaning to do these challenges and found time tonight. For the colour throwdown I used rose red and regal rose in stead of riding hood red and pink pirouette (we don't have those colours here yet in little New Zealand) I have used a happy heart stamp set for this card. Love this set. Check out the colour throwdown here and the Saturday sketch here. If you get time give them a try. Thanks for looking and for all your wonderful comments.

A CAMI TRI FOLD CARD

I noticed that Trudi from NZSU Blog has a great challenge for February, a cami tri fold card. So I had a play today and this is what I came up with. I used old olive, elegant eggplant and whisper white. I love these colours together and hadn't used them in a while. I used the flower out of a touch of nature and paper tolled out the flower and added a 1/2 pearl to the middle. I am almost out of white 1/2 pearls so I better get some more, I have been going through them lately. If you want to have a go here is a great tutorial that Trudi found. Happy stamping.

KWERNER CHALLENGE # 40

When I first saw the colours for this challenge I thought yeh I like these colours together, but when I got them out to put them together It was a different story. Man did I have trouble finding a layout that worked. Finally I thought put it together or you'll never get to bed. This is what I came up with. As you can see I only used a little of the so saffron but at least its there. lol.
I have never used my white craft stamp pad so much on one card. I really enjoyed doing this card it really challenged me. The main stamp set is called eastern blooms (out of the mini). Check out the other entries here.

MOJO MONDAY # 72

I love this layout and I knew what I was going to enjoy doing this sketch. I used
brocade background DSP and the matching card stock, ink and ribbon. Baroque motifs has been a favorite of mine for ages and I am always drawn to it. The colours match in with the felt flower fusion in the mini. The brads are not stamping up but it would be good if you could get chocolate chip brads. I used my versamark pad to stamp the swirl on the river rock card. The words are out of embrace life. Check out the other entries here. I'm going to have a look at them now, I like to look at them after I have made my own card so that I don't get a stamping block. Thanks for checking out my entry.

CUPCAKE CHALLENGE # 53

I finished this card yesterday and have just found time to upload it. I enjoyed this layout, once I decided what colours to use it came together quickly. I did turn the sketch around and change the eyelet position just a little it seemed right( or I just put them in the wrong place.lol.).I used outlaw DSP and the ribbon is 1"double stitched ribbon out of the mini. I love this DSP but I hadn't used it. I have just ordered the wanted stamp set to with the paper, can't wait till I get to have a play with it. I have almost finished my mojo monday sketch so if I get time I will upload it tonight. Check out all the other entries for Taylors cupcake challenge here.

A THANKYOU BOX

Man I have found it really hard to get a decent photo today. I started this box a couple of nights ago and finished it off today. I have a few thank you gifts I need to finish. This one I am going to full with chocolates, What says thank you better than chocolates. lol. I've used sahara sand, really rust, and whisper white card. I have stamped the flower with sahara sand ink onto really rust card (which doesn't photo very well). The DSP is out of the fall flowers set. The stamps are out of embrace life, and spring solitude (hostess set).
