SWAPS FROM THE U.S

My swaps arrived this week from Kim Steiner who is my swap sister from the US. We had to make 2 cards/3d items for the swap. The first is a folder full of note cards and envelopes with my embossed initial in two different colours. How cool is that!!

And the second is a card. I love the flowers with the jumbo brads in the middle. Blue bayou was an in colour from last years catty and one of my favorites!! I like the saying happy birthday since it was my birthday last week, not that Kim probably new. lol!!
I will post my swaps I sent to Kim tomorrow.
Hope everyone is having a fantastic week!

Swaps for my swap sister

These are the 2 projects I made for my UStamp swap sister Debbie Keane who lives in Virginia Beach, USA. I was in such a hurry to post them off that I forgot to take photos of them, these are the ones that Debbie took for me. First I decided to make a free standing calender something useful to use that you can put anywhere. Its hard to see from the photo that the bag is a double pocket bag . I made a matching card for one side and filled the other side with cadbury favorite's chocolates. I got a few requests for the instructions of the bag so here is a easy to follow tutorial.
If you haven't already, leave a comment in on my blog candy post to be in to win a free UStamp pass for the next session in September. I will be drawing a winner on Friday morning!!

Boatloads of love

Man it feels like ages since I posted, its been a bad week. I have had the flue and I am off to bed straight after this post. I felt like doing a wee bit of stamping this afternoon and thought I better finish my boys swap that is way over due. I have used old olive and always artichoke and no ribbon(can you believe it!). I have popped out the puffs of smoke with some dimensionals and used puff paint on them. Sorry about the very short post I will be back when I feel a little better.
Thanks for looking.

Baroque Motifs

This is a card I made for a swap, it was a colour challenge Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant. Love these colours together. I started with Whisper White card scored some lines to give a tiled effect then double stamped the swirly stamp using Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant. Used the Photo corners punch and the mat pack in the corner, crimped some card to give a little texture, then added the ribbon to match. Stamped and paper tolled out the flowers. Its funny when you get a idea and off you go, then you end up with something that is completely different. What ever works I say.lol .
I am working on a project at the moment didn't quite get it finished last night. I will finish it tonight, and if I can get a good photo at night I will do another post tonight, otherwise I'll post tomorrow.
